Description

Closing in on the finish. The "tail" or slug-foot has grown considerably since -stf- 5, and has developed to the point where it can both support her weight and move her around, with help from her legs. Her toes have lengthened into fingers, and have some degree of manipulative ability. Her skin's darker, her chest is bigger, and she's now sitting on the "underside" of her abdomen... which makes finding a place to sit quite a bit easier.

You can blame or thank ~RubenX for this one, as "belly-as-furniture" came up in a conversation between the two of us a day or so before I committed to doing the slug progression. There've been plenty of "belly beds" in annals of the stuffing / WG communities - so naturally, I was inclined to do just about anything else. Given my general bent, this general shape was the first thing that sprang to mind, and it immediatly locked itself in as the end or near-end of the slug sequence when I finally made the decision to run with the weirdness.

Not without flaws, as usual - the slime is a pain in the arse, and I could've spent hours on it and been just as :P about it, so there it is. Still need to work on facial dimensions with shading and lighting... I'm extremely happy with the way the belly and right leg came out, and overall I'm very pleased with this entry in the sequence... even if she looks a bit like the illegitimate child of Yoda and Jabba the Hutt. :ninja:

Technically, the previous five were pencilled and inked on lighter card stock, while 6 was processed on a larger sheet of vellum, as it was the only medium available in "bigger than card stock" dimensions. Consequently, the inks are a bit jaggier, but it was much less repair work to scan in a larger drawing in two pieces than to scan in two separate chunks of media - I've tried that in the past and it's not much fun. The bigger stuff was an impulse purchase a few weeks ago, and I must say- I'm very happy to have the extra canvas.

I'm thinking there's one more to go with this sequence before it's done.... gotta fill up that little DNA progress bar!

This is a great sequence with an original plot. I like mad scientists.
